West Nile virus infects man living in Calumet County

(Photo: Getty Images/iStockphoto)CHILTON - An individual has been infective by West Nile virus in Calumet County, the premier status of its kind this year, officials reported on Friday. Infected mosquitoes spread the virus. Most people infective by the virus do not have symptoms, however those who become ill could develop a headache, fever & rash. Last year, 13 people in Wisconsin were infective by West Nile virus, according to the state section of Health Services, that has monitored the virus ever ever 2001.

Orange province approves premier West Nile virus dying of season

as declared in An elderly Anaheim lady is the county's premier approved West Nile virus-related dying of the season, the OC Health Care Agency announced Friday, Oct. 6. The lady died from Disorders of a West Nile virus infection, health officials said. Orange province this year has had 26 approved symptomatic West Nile virus infections, 22 of that led to hospitalizations, according to health officials.
